Entry to the Getty Center is free, and no ticket or reservation is required! Your only expenses for the day might be a bite at the bar or restaurant, a purchase in the museum store, or the cost of transportation to the venue.
Parking is priced at $20 per car and drops to $15 after 3:00 PM. Opt for the subway to save even more: Metro bus line 761 stops right at the entrance of the Getty Center, located at the intersection of Getty Center Drive and Sepulveda Boulevard.

Spend Some Time with Vincent Van Gogh
Vincent van Gogh is one of the most adored painters of all time, and at the Getty Center, his works are prominently displayed. Currently showcased in the West Pavilion is “Iris”, crafted during the artist’s time in a psychiatric hospital housed in a medieval monastery in the south of France (he could view the monastery’s garden from his room).
Despite van Gogh enduring periods of debilitating illness, he managed to create 150 paintings during his year-long stay at the hospital. “Iris” is a piece that captures the strength and beauty of his creativity, notwithstanding the personal challenges the artist was facing.
